The Searching Game

This video series covers the beginning steps of the searching game. It explains how to teach your dog to search for food using their nose.

This is one of our favourite exercises to teach people and their dogs. It is very easy, lots of fun and provides fantastic mental and physical stimulation for your dog. It typically takes less than 15 minutes and can be done in almost any location you would normally play with your dog.

Watching a dog use their nose to find food is lots of fun and there are many variations of the game that you can use to match your dog’s abilities. This game is fantastic to develop communication with your dog and show them how much fun you are to interact with.

We cover what equipment you will need, how to get started, when to move on through the various steps and how to increase the difficulty as you and your dog get better at the game.

The series is designed to be a short and easy introduction to dog training with the option of making things more challenging as your dog improves.
